this is the letter that I wrote to Ford. and I am still getting the run around.

my truck it still at Ed Corley Ford, and they are still trying to charge me for damages that they did to my truck. as a matter of fact I just called them (from Saudi Arabia) and they insist that they are not at fault for anything.

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Tim Pence, I am writing you to tell you about the service me and my family has received from the Ford dealership in Espanola New Mexico. I was having problems with my 2003 F250 Super Crew.  I had to have my son take it in because I am currently on assignment to Jeddah Saudi Arabia. He contacted them to come pick up the truck, and it was picked up on the 9th of October. He informed the dealership of our concerns with the truck, and to make sure to keep him involved with the process as it goes. He also told them that the truck was needed for a trip that was to be taken the day before Thanksgiving Day. The service manager told my son that there would be no problem meeting the time limit. After having the truck for most of October, and part of November, it was determined that a new 7.3 Diesel was needed and that the warranty would cover the damage that was done. So we gave the dealership a payment of $7500 dollars so the engine could be ordered. After a week or so the engine was received, and finished installed on the 21st of November when my wife paid the final installment to total up over $11,000.00. My son and wife took it out to test drive, and it didn’t even make it around the block before it died, and would not restart. My wife tried to contact the service manager, but he had left to go home already. She contacted the General Manager, but he had left also. My wife called them both several times to try and get someone to tow the truck back to the dealership, but it took a threat to call the police before any action was taken by the dealership. This was two hours after the truck died in the street. I took my truck to the dealership because I wanted good solid dependable service. If I wanted some shade tree shoddy work, I would have talked to someone who was a lot cheaper.

I fully expect the Ford Company to make amends for the disservice that I and my family received.

Supplemental entry: now I have been informed that I need a new computer, and a new starter. The starter was replaced a month before I took it to the Dealership, and the computer worked ok before I took it in. it was probably taken out when power was still applied.

This tells me that they don’t know what is going wrong with my truck, so they are buying parts to see what will fix it.

Signed

another day goes by. I was suppose to be contacted by the owner, but that didn't happen. I guess customer service has gone out the window in New Mexico. it is too bad that so many other buisnesses will follow suit, and rip off the common consumer.

still another day goes by and nothing happens. I guess this is normal business from Ford.
the mechanic at Ford still insists that everything was my fault. I guess over $11,000.00 was not enough. so they are going to soak me for all I got.
tried the "better business bureau" they have not told me anything either.
