Why is it that this ILLEGAL problem is called by the NEWS MEDIA an "ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION". It has NOTHING  to do with actual immigration.

If they actually wanted to immigrate to the U.S.A they would follow the LAWS to LEGALLY immigrate here. There is nothing wrong with our LEGAL immigration laws now, they are plain and simple, 1.2 million a year follow them and succeed.

They should be more accurately described as ILLEGAL MIGRANT WORKERS or just PLAIN ILLEGAL INHABITANTS, because most don't actually WORK, you know their wives and kids.

I just wish the NEWS MEDIA would quit slanting the FACTS and call them for what they ARE.

Guess what? A friend of mine who lives in San Diego just called me and I asked her about the situation there. She said the crossing gate isn't far from where she lives. She told me that they "let anybody through" in San Diego. She has been to Mexico through the Texas border. I've never been there, but she said they check at the TX border.

I am not talking about the ILLEGAL problem, I am talking about how the NEWS MEDIA characterizes them

How fast memories goes away .
I wish that Ellis Island with a gift from France in form of Statue of Liberty would be installed somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico .
However, Ellis Island became a museum and tourist attraction .
Besides Immigrants here are back bone of U.S.A.

You can call describe them the way you want, Kenny.

I prefer illegal immigrants, illegal aliens or undocumented workers.

Someone other than you or I would have yet other names, just as Mlk1of3 indicated in her entry in your blog.

I find it humorous that NOONE of "importance" wants to address the problem!

They always focus on "Just poor people who come here for a better life, do menial jobs, take what is given to them", & we should be compassionate to them.
The MAJORITY do work hard, for menial wages,
BUT THAT IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!

I liken it to a individual "having to TOTALLY SUPPORT 10-50 people & their families" & they do the chores around your home--
It is just NOT affordable, regardless of HOW good a job they do!
As a person YOU decide on HOW many people you can afford to hire--
Our country does that ALSO!
Our country cannot afford ALL the children, (who become citizens) & all the social services to these "MILLIONS"? of people!

They will take over the country, as we are a democracy, & that is the goal of the leadership, I would guess!

The humor is that ALL the people in charge KNOW there is a problem, CANNOT address it,
so they "beat around the bush", which NEVER solved anything!
You cannot sit on fence forever--SOMETIMES you HAVE to take a stand!
(AND that goes for the media also!)

Illegal and Immigration have nothing in common.

ILLEGAL is breaking our Laws.

IMMIGRATION is the LEGAL way to become a citizen.

No one can ILLEGALLY IMMIGRATE to the U.S.

Here's why the media calls them illegal immigrants. Because it's what they technically are. You can legally immmigrate or illegally immigrate.

Im-mi-grant (n) one who leaves one country to settle in another.

Mi-grant (n) One that migrates esp. from one region to another in search of work.

Technically U.S. citizens can be migrants in the U.S. You can't be an immigrant without going from one country to another, and you become one when you do regardless if you do it legally or not.
