NM and Albuquerque in particular have declared themselves as Green and Alternative Energy entities. Is there any motion to deregulate the alternative energy generation by residential and commercial entities, as California did some years ago?
The following is a link to NM incentives and caps: http://www.dsireusa.org/library/includes/map.cfm?State
=NM&CurrentPageId=1&RE=1&EE=1
Then you can checkout the California Public Utilities Code Section 2827: http://www.energy.ca.gov/distgen/notices/2002-11-18_fo
rum/PUC_CODE_SECTION_2827.PDF
New Mexico should remove the caps on the generation of alternative energies, Wind and biomass: First 400,000 MWh annually for 10 years (i.e. 4,000,000/year)
Solar electric: First 200,000 MWh annually for 10 years (annual amount varies)
Statewide cap: 2,000,000 MWh plus an additional 500,000 MWh for solar electric (see the aforementioned URL for details). Moreover, as PNM has raised its rates, it should be required to pay more for excess generation by these providers in a similar escalation. For example, if it raises rates by an average of 15%, it should increase the $0.027 (average) / kWh for solar and $0.01 / kWh for wind energy.
Chavez declared "Albuquerque Green", but hasn't called on the NM Legislature or Gov. Richardson to lift the caps. Richardson wants to make this state a leader in renewable energies and clean air technology. The End of Internet Anonymity?
I recently found an article online titled, “The Girl Who Will Change the Internet?” I covered an interesting event that took place in Dardenne Prairie where a 13-year-old girl named Megan Meier committed suicide after being harassed repeatedly on Myspace by a boy named Josh Evans. Soon after her death, Josh Evans’ profile was deleted and never heard from again.
Nearly six months later, the parents of Megan would come to learn from a close neighbor that Josh Evans never actually existed, but the profile was actually created by a friend of Megan’s mother named Lori Drew. Lori’s daughter and Megan had been on-and-off friends and Lori built the false Myspace page to try and monitor what was going on. Turns out Lori took things too far with Megan, who suffered bouts of extreme depression, and provoked the suicide by stating, “You are a bad person and everybody hates you…. The world would be a better place without you.” Anyway, Lori was reported to the FBI and indicted on three charges of Conspiracy and Accessing Private Computers Without Authorization.
NOW THE BIG ISSUE.
Thanks to Lori’s selfish act, the Internet world is now under pressure by the federal court concerning Internet anonymity. Basically the government is discussing making it a federal offense to provide false information on the Internet. This ultimately means no more creative screen names, stating you are 102 on Myspace, or opening extra e-mail accounts to catch Spam so your private e-mail account can stay clean. Yikes….
So, in light of all of this, do you think the government has the right to eliminate our anonymity online? Do you think they should have the right? Should everyone be held accountable for what they say and do over the Internet? E-mail me with your comments at FaceofFox@kasa.com or just simply leave a comment right here. Be sure to leave your name too. The government would appreciate it.

I am writing you this email in hopes that maybe you can actually shed light on a horribly unethical and possibly very illegal.
There are very strict liquor laws in this state...some bar owners choose to follow the laws, some bar owners bend the laws and some bar owners flat out beak the laws. In the situation of the law breaking bar owners there is an agency in state government that is supposed to monitor them. The Alcohol and Gaming Division has a department in it known as SID, Special Investigations Department, for the most part the group of agents are honest and above board and work very hard to watch the bar owners and staff. I personally appreciate them very much...
There is an exception to this though. There is a bar in downtown Albuquerque called Club 7. The owner of this bar is about as non-law abiding as they come. His antics are very well known downtown...This bar stays open until 4am, most of the time serving liquor the entire time. They have under-age nights where there will be children as young as 16 in the bar, with no physical structure separating the 21+ with alcohol from the underage, as the law states there should be. They are known to have ecstasy parties in this bar, even so much as having people over dose. The past 3 stabbings that have occurred downtown have been done by underage people who were in this bar drinking. The list of citations go on and on and on.
The issue with all of the above is that the agents from SID have done there best to shut this club down. They have continuously cited the owner and bar over and over again. The problem isn't the agents...the problem is Gary Tomada, Director of the Alcohol and Gaming Division. He has blocked all of the citations from moving forward to be prosecuted. It's known that every time the owner of the bar gets a citation he laughs at the agents and says 'you know it will disappear'. No one in the downtown area, and pretty much anyone who is familiar with Club 7 could figure out how this bar is still open with all of the known and documented illegal activity. Well, the answer came a few weeks ago when Alex, the owner, got married, Gary Tomada was a guest at his wedding. Besides being completely inappropriate for the director of AGD to be at the wedding of a person who breaks the laws so blatantly, it's completely unethical and the possible illegal part is that Alex brags about having Gary Tomada 'in his pocket' and actually gave me advice recently that if I pad Gary's pockets I will be sitting pretty just like him.
I as well as most bar owners struggle to follow the letter of the law, it's constantly changing and personal responsibility is null and void in this state, the bar staff and owners are held responsible for our patrons decisions when it comes to drinking. Fine, the laws are the laws but having blatant disregard for them and getting away with it because you are willing to pay off the people who are supposed to uphold the law is ridiculous. The police are aware of the situation, SID agents are aware, and so are the local politicians. Something has to be done...this is not a safe situation for the rest of the downtown bar owners/patrons.
Someone suggested I write to you since you seem to be one of the few people in this state not in anyone's pocket and you certainly aren't afraid of the Mafia administration that reigns over this state.
Thank you for your time and I do hope you will actually investigate this for what it is.

When unchallenged, character is the easiest of all attributes to fake. When faced with peril, bravery, courage, and honesty can only be proven with actions, not words. But how quickly character abandons a politician during an election year. I am embarrassed that this is what our country has been reduced to; politicians that will say and do anything for one more term, begging for just one more chance. They over promise, and under deliver, or deliver nothing at all. I read that members of the congress and senate only work 2 days a week, and spend 3 day raising campaign money, not just during an election year, every year. The fear of having to enter into the private sector job market and compete with the rest of is justifiably frightening.
George W asked for one more chance because he said he wasn’t finished. Now the Clinton’s are back also asking for another chance. With oil, insurance, and pharmaceutical companies on the right, god only know what the left has to offer us. A vote for the same old family of politicians is a vote for the same lobbyist and special interest groups.
Every four years we have a chance to make a choice that is best for us and our country, but we become
influenced by the promises of false prophets. Wolves in wolves clothing. Liberal wolves blame conservative wolves and conservative wolves blame the liberals. And the only voices they really listen to are from the special interest groups the fund their campaigns.
The Unchallenged Politician will say and do anything to be elected, because they know that once they are in, we can never get them out again. I believe that the only way to make these career politicians stand by their promises is to remove the ones that do not produce results. Once enough career politicians are fired and replaced, the new ones and remaining ones will find a way to work together for the better good of America.

The largest healthcare benefactors are employee’s of the government. The same government leaders that say that National Healthcare is socialism enjoy the privileged benefits of free healthcare for not only themselves, but for their families as well. The same people that say the government can not manage healthcare efficiently run the government. No one knows themselves better then they do. So why should we vote for the same people that say they can not efficiently run a national program?
Government leaders are now saying that healthcare should be taken out of the company and purchased by the individual user. Does this also include government employees? The United States is the largest employer in America. They have the largest healthcare plan, and it is paid for by the tax payers. (I do not mean the military. Soldiers that fight in wars should undoubtedly receive free healthcare for the rest of their lives.) They say that a large portion of Americans have healthcare, but they do not exclude the national healthcare package for government. They say we can not afford national healthcare for the people, but we can afford it for them.
Oligarchy (Greek Oligarkhía) is a form of government where political power effectively rests with a small elite segment of society (whether distinguished by wealth, family or military powers). The word oligarchy is from the Greek words for "few" and "rule". Compare with autocracy (rule by one person) and democracy (power in the people).
If my tax dollars, (and I pay a lot) If my tax dollars can not pay for mine and my families healthcare, why would I want to pay for yours.

I have heard so many people say, “It doesn’t matter who is President.” and I must admit, I’ve said it too. Clearly it does matter, because look at us now. When down to two candidates, what are our real choices? Here are my Top 10 priorities:
-
Responsible Government Spending? You can not spend money we do not have. I do not want my children paying off debt to China, (or any other country) for a war or stimulus plan that did not make a difference to America.
-
A budget with no deficit? If you present a budget that includes a deficit, then it is not a budget, right?
-
I want my social security deduction to be applied correctly, or eliminated!
-
Healthcare: Employer healthcare at one time was to lure good employees with good benefits. Some how it has turned into a crippling burden on the employer. We pay our leaders to lead; they can broker an individual healthcare plan to relief the burden from U.S. businesses. …at the very least.
-
The War in Iraq: I don’t know why we are there, and I do not want my tax dollars applied to people that pray for my death on a daily basis. Let their God sort out their fate. Bring our soldiers home, or ship them to Afghanistan.
-
Accountability: Why is it that the middle class are the only ones accountable for their actions in this country?
-
Support our Soldiers: When our soldiers return home they should be given the care, respect, and support to get back to their lives. Supporting the troops mean the people that fight the wars, not the politicians that start them.
-
Fuel independent Nation: Without fuel independence we will always be at the mercy of the greedy.
-
Environmental responsibility: If you vote for an oil man for President, do not blame him for high fuel costs, or global pollution. I drive an SUV gas hog, and I complain that gas cost is too much, and pollution is too high. My next car will be a fuel efficient one.
-
Sub-Prime bail out? Who will the government actually be saving with a Sub-Prime bail-out? Foreign investors are hit the hardest from this failure, will the government bail out foreign investors with U.S. tax dollars borrowed from China?
These are the answering I am looking for in a Presidential candidate.
What are yours?

I am extremely angry at the way the voting was handled in Rio Rancho. A city of 80,000 people and one voting place! I have health problems and tried to stand in line and couldn't. I ended up going home. This is the first time, since I became of voting age, over 30 years ago, that I was unable to vote. I feel that poor planning and disorganization robbed me of my right to vote. I would bet that I am not the only person that gave up. Whoever set this up must either be new at the job, or incompetent.

The Democratic primaries have turned into a battle between Barack Obama and Bill/Hillary Clinton. Obama needs a second speaker on this team to be the bad guy and say whatever we wants and not be accountable. If I were Obama I would pick the comedian Lewis Black. Lewis could drop 40 pounds, slug down 100 cups of coffee and shout angerly at reporters, like Bill Clinton is doing for Hillary. Man, I have heard of the beast with two backs, but Bill and Hillary are the beast with two mouths. Billary?

First, local. the re-cycle program is failing the public, at least on my street. If Mayor Chavez wants it to succeed, he should make sure that the recycled materials are actually picked up. I faithfully put out my re-cyclables in the correct form and place and I'm lucky if it gets picked up once a month. I used to bring them to Carlisle K-Mart re-cycle bins, but they've been moved. I've started throwing my recyclables out again (except for aluminum), rather than have to bring them back in every week and hope they're picked up the next time.
National: I watched the Family Feud this afternoon, since I'm home from work. One family was all African American women. The other family appeared to have immigrated from India or Pakistan. Both families knew all the Democrat Presidential candidates, but the only Republican they knew was Guilliani. I am not distressed that they are Democrat, I am distressed that they do not know of the opposition. Ignorance breeds incorrect choices.

Yep. I think it's time for ol' Bill Richardson to retire peacefully, leave New Mexico, go back to Massachusettes, or wherever he's from. Don't worry folks, Bill will enlist the services of a publicist, jot down a few memoirs and maybe make a few bucks out of it.
Dear Ms. Denish: Please run on your own credentials and on your own ideas. Whatever you do, please leave ol' Bill out of it. You'll do great. Thank you.

In my mailbox this morning, I found a letter from the Richardson campaign. Included in the letter was a petition for him to run for the US Senate seat being vacated by Pete Domenici. All along, he swore he did not want this seat. What is going on.

MINDSCRIBE: brain writers, cerebral context, thinker class, musical wisdom, engaged in scribbling thoughts. One who writes their mind.
One who mindscribes trys not to censure ones stream of consciousness.
Did you know that in 1933 James Joyce was finally allowed to legally publish in the US his epic stream of consciousness work "Ulysses" which was previously judged obscene for its explicit description of one of the character's inner thoughts? "Ulysses...is subject to seizure, forfeiture and confiscation and destruction.” For a country that proclaims a freedom of speech, we don't historically keep that promise to the populous. What is now considered a revolutionary writing accomplishment was once considered by the US powers-that-be, as inappropriate for the American public as was the whiskey of prohibition.
Both prevailed to popular demand.
