Public Financing of elections...Spin that one DemBoy...

Demboy08 - This public financing issue is so cheap and manufactured. Obama is just doing what any normal politician, including McCain, would do in his position. While our public and "liberal media" focuses mindlessly on the latest manufactured attack, serious issues (economy, the very real War, health care) wait to be addressed.

At some point we have to, and in 10 years no one will remember any of the nonsense. But we'll be helping to heal our Iraq Vets for generations.

While I would like to believe people are voting on the issues the fact that one in ten people still believes Obama is a secret Muslim would beg to differ. Having Hollywood like a candidate should not be a reason to like or dislike him. Also I think it is silly to vote based on the company a person keeps. That is just as bad. Guilt by assoication is not fair and not right. I am not going to judge MCcain by Pastor Haggey as you should not judge Obama by Reverend Wright.

First of all, congratulations on your graduation! This is your month! So bask in the glory and enjoy it...and I hope you had a blast throughout high school. College is going to be fun for you!

Now I don't know what is being presented out in the Milwaukee area as far as the election goes, but out here on the West Coast, we're seeing things popping up which would make for a great debate between Obama and McCain. So we'll see what happens in the future. In the meantime, enjoy all the political cartoons that pop up, and please don't get bent out of shape, if it seems a bit goofy at times. We all need to laugh a little, while the issues pop up and get debated over. The politicians just have to roll with the punches...and yes, you'll see a few political jabs from me on the site from time to time before the election comes up. Yes, I'll stir the pot up, get some laughs and tick some people off, but that's politics for you. I know I'm wacky at times, and the politicians are going to get a "Caining" from me once in a while over the "Johnny Mac" debates.

Nicole it is good to see another young blogger on this site. I used to blog alot more but many of the conservatives on this site are just venemous. (no people skills) Mystere I plan on attending the school of letters and science as a Poli-Sci and Econ major. I do not mind those cartoons and some of the jokes. I see those kind of things on the daily show every night. But in this nation we tend to substitute political dicourse for that because most people simply don't know alot about candidates stances on issues except a few the Media shows which are "hot-button" even if not the most important.

Sen. Obama voted in favor of tabling an amendment (SA 4309) sponsored by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) to (S. Con. Res. 70), a concurrent resolution setting forth the congressional budget for the United States Government for fiscal year 2009. The Vitter Amendment, if adopted, would have created a reserve fund to ensure that Federal assistance does not go to sanctuary cities that ignore the immigration laws of the United States and create safe havens for illegal aliens and potential terrorists. Sanctuary policies bar public officials, including police officers, from asking an individual's immigration status and from reporting illegal aliens to federal authorities. In 1996, Congress passed a law that specifically prohibits state and local governments from enacting sanctuary policies. Despite that, cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Houston, still have sanctuary policies in place. Maine is the only state with a sanctuary policy. The Vitter Amendment would have been a huge incentive for states and municipalities to rescind their sanctuary policies. The vote to table the Vitter Amendment passed 58 to 40, effectively killing the amendment.

You didn't answer my question. Give me your opinion on why Obama is the better candidate than McCain. Don't tell me I'm judging Obama based on who he hangs out with. I don't care about that. We all have crazy friends.
Hollywood people are nutcases...that is well known.
But you are just doing the smoke and mirrors like the media is doing. Instead of telling us why Obama should be president, you attack the people that are against him.
So once again...tell me why he will make a better president.

You will not get straight answers from Dum-DumBoy or Nicole-Lie. They don't have any. Just weak venom. It seems that there is plenty of malice and hatred from both sides to go around. To paraphrase a quote from Apocalypse Now, "Charging people with murder during wartime is like handing out speeding tickets at the Indy 500".

Obama & Hillary are one and the same, McCain is pretending to be a Conservative.

So, basically We have three Liberals to choose from. That's how I see it.

now that your out of high school maybe you can get together with Nicole 127 together you can go on that ultimate acid trip into liberal Nirvana ala Obama ..no republican ever said Obama was a Muslim of course he is not ..and i don't hate the man i just hate his politics and his lying and his wishy washy personality and the fact he knows nothing about what he is running for or has any concept on the way things are supposed to be run and the fact he hasn't done a damn thing for Illinois except raise taxes and attend a racist church for 20 years yet didn't know what was going on..wait you know i must apologize i do hate the man
